Aptian has unconventional reservoir experience with organic rich, tight oil, tight gas and fractured (including fractured granite) reservoirs. Montney, Bakken and Duvernay projects comprise the majority of this experience. However, many of Aptian's international projects have also involved unconventional reservoirs.
Conventional reservoir experience covers numerous clastic and carbonate reservoirs spanning all geologic ages.
McMurray oil sand experience is extensive and Aptian has developed software which enables accurate interpretation over all types of oil sand intervals, including mid gas and top gas.
Worldwide, Aptian has completed projects for companies operating in these countries: Abu Dhabi, Albania, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, Indonesia, Mongolia, Mexico, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.
Consulting experience also includes several helium gas projects, carbon dioxide sequestration (CCS) projects and underground source of drinking water (USDW) projects.
Companies rely on Aptian's proprietary software for formation evaluation and mechanical rock properties. Rock property outputs are corrected for bad borehole, light hydrocarbon and organic matter effects, and are required input to modern software packages employed to design hydraulic stimulation programs.
The maps below show locations where projects have been completed using Aptian's proprietary software:
