The following data and resources will need to be provided by the client (all that are available):
- measured depth digital log data (LAS or DLIS files) for each well
- at the minimum, we require a shale indicating log, a porosity indicating log and a resistivity log
- neutron, density and PE logs will allow for a much more robust lithology and porosity model to be run (typical PEX data set)
- if possible, density correction and caliper logs should also be included to assist in quality control of the log data
- wells with sonic data are valuable, as the sonic log is less sensitive to borehole condition and can be used to quantify micro (isolated) porosity
- spectral gamma ray data improves results for organic rich intervals, where uranium is present, causing the gamma ray log to be “hot”
- nuclear magnetic resonance logs allow for porosity to be interpreted, independent of the standard porosity indicating logs (neutron, density and sonic)
- nuclear spectroscopy logs allow an element to mineral analysis to be run
- Image logs are used to identify fractures and bedding structures
- wells logged with water based mud, without barite, generally have better quality logs
- the Geologist’s assigned tops in measured depth, for each well, in spreadsheet format
- used on depth plots for zone identification purposes
- special core analysis reports with the associated data in spreadsheet format
- XRD, XRF
- capillary pressure
- electrical properties
- bulk clay volume
- TOC
- shale rock properties (SRP)
- strip log data in LAS or CSV format
- LWD gamma, gas curves and ROP
- comments on lithology and gas are also valuable and are needed in CSV format
- cuttings data in spreadsheet format
- XRD, porosity, petrographic descriptions, etc.
- routine core data analysis in spreadsheet format
- grain density, porosity, permeability, saturations, lithologic descriptions
- well header data in spreadsheet format
- KB, GL, TD, surface and downhole latitude and longitude
- directional surveys for deviated wells in spreadsheet format
- MD, INCL, AZIM format is required
- completion and production data for each well in spreadsheet format
- perforation intervals
- DST intervals, recoveries, rates, pressures, gas composition and water recovery
- other applicable reports, etc., that will help us with our work
- access to the Technologist during the project
- access to the Geologist/Geophysicist/Engineer during the project
